POSITION SUMMARY:

 

• This staff member acts as the receptionist/telephone operator for Operations and Facilities and assists in the daily operations of the main office area, including assigned clerical duties.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Education/Certification:

 

• High School Diploma or GED

Special Knowledge/Skills:

• Clerical and/or secretarial experience required
• Computer literacy, data entry experience required
• Demonstrate a positive attitude and be able to promote good public relations with staff, visitors and while delivering service via the telephone
• Experience with FinancePlus preferred
• Bilingual preferred

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greet visitors and provide them with information about the department and department procedures
• Answer the telephone in the office, relay incoming calls, take messages for staff, and respond appropriately to requests for information; make long-distance telephone calls for administrators as requested
• Coordinate mail reception and distribution
• Prepare and maintain assigned reports
• Assist with all office duties 
• Input data into FinancePlus and School Dude’s work order/inventory programs
• Order and distribute uniforms
• Assist in the coordination of waste management
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Maintenance and the Director of Custodial Services
